WHAT IS IT? Oldest active church in Pennsylvania.
BEAUTY (6/10) A very peaceful place. Nice and simple design. Pleasant colors.
HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE (3/10) It is the oldest church in Pennsylvania. Betsy Ross was married there.
CROWDS (8/10) Empty church. No noise and ample opportunity for personal reflection and/or prayer.
EASE OF USE/ACCESS (4/5) Easily located ½ mile south of Penn’s Landing at the corner of main thoroughfare Columbus Blvd. and Christian Street. Prominent brown Dept. of Interior sign on corner. Free parking lot.
CONCESSIONS/BOOKSTORE (1/5) None.
COSTS (4/5) No entry cost. It’s a church with an active congregation. Free Parking Lot.
RANGER/GUIDE TO TOURIST RATIO (1/5) We didn’t see any Ranger.
