Here is a description of Gabrielle's most recent presentation at the 2005 PAR Solutions Conference: Mission ImPossible for People with DisAbilities:
Do you know what I really want to do? This question sparked 2 months of planning, a year’s worth of saving and an adventure that circled all 48 contiguous states, stopping in all 358 National Park areas, 48 state capitols, and the homes of every family member and friend Michael and Gabrielle Sedor could find.
The reason for the quest? There were several. To celebrate Gabrielle’s sixteen years in remission from Hodgkin’s Disease, to encourage other survivors of childhood cancer to pursue a full and adventurous life and to search for answers to the question: What does it mean to be an American and what does that mean to me?
Take a visual journey through the Continental United States. Hear how Gabrielle and her partner planned their two-year expedition and what it took to pull it off. Find out which National Parks are the most accessible to individuals with disabilities and take notes while Gab teaches you how to travel in style on a shoestring budget.
